JBC Hot Air Stations

JBC's hot air stations utilises extractors and protectors for quick and safe desoldering. Heat is concentrated on the component being desoldered, protecting surrounding areas from heat exposure. There are 3 options to select from, with JNA suiting small components, TESE being perfect for medium to large sizes and the JTSE being ideal for your larger components.

Why Choose JBC Hot Air Stations?

JBC hot air rework stations are the ideal tool for reworking any type of SMD. Their even and quick heat-up time helps to reflow the solder to either attach or remove components from PCBs.

With JBC hot air rework tools you have the capability to control the precise temperature and airflow being used. This is thanks to the perfect combination of the heating element and nozzle, allowing you to concentrate heat directly onto the selected component.

JBCs range of hot air stations allow for repairs of all types of SMDs both quickly and safely. This includes even the biggest QFPs and PLCCs.

There are three different hot air stations in the JBC range. Below is a component suitability guide for each of the three stations.

Some Key Benefits Of The JBC Hot Air Station Range

Profiles

When coupling the JBC Hot Air Stations with rework arms, temperature profiles can be set.

You can have up to 25 configurable temperature profiles created and stored. This ensures to prevent thermal shock to specific components whilst carrying out your rework application.

Thermocouples

The TESE & JTSE units provide the ability to attach an external Type K thermocouple and TC, enabling you to set either a regulation or protection mode. This helps to protect your components and prevent thermal stress!

Regulation Mode – Provides a precice close loop to automatically maintain the external TC temperature.

Protection Mode – Protects any heat sensitive areas or components. The station cuts the air supply when the TC temperature is reached.

Auto Stop / Start Functionality

The JNASE includes an Auto-Start feature. This means that the station turns on each time the tool is lifted from the stand.

As a safety feature, there is also an Auto-Stop function. This ensures that the heat is automatically cut off each time the tool is placed back into the stand.

Both of these features help to save power and lengthen the life of the heater. The TESE & JTSE units have an On/Off switch on the tool instead.

Fume Extractor Connection

Both the JTSE and TESE hot air stations feature a port that allows easy connection to JBCs FAE Fume Extractors to automatically activate extraction when the tools are being used. This port can also be used with JBCs ROBOT.

Cartridges / Nozzles

NH Works With J125 Cartridges

These cartridges provide regulation of both flow and temperature at very low and precise levels.

TN/JN Nozzles For TESE/JTSE

Nozzles direct heat to particular areas on your PCB. The range features many shapes and diameters to regulate your hot air flow. All models interchangeable!

Hot Air Stations Accessories

Extractors/Tripods/Protectors help to protect surrounding components by ensuring that the heat is concentrated only onto the component that is being desoldered.

They also provide an easy means of extracting the component directly from the PCB.

These tools aid in easily placing and removing SMDs, of varying sizes, from a PCB. There are different cup/needle sizes to ensure you have the right size for the components that you are working with.

This is easily connected to the suction plug on your JBC hot air station.

The perfect support for the TET or JTT heaters. Rework arms allow the heaters to maintain position and distance to the component, allowing the operator’s hands to be free for other tasks.

These are essential if you plan to successfully make use of the JBC profiles (see more info above).
