ESD Tape Solutions

Explore our range of ESD-safe tapes, designed for use in static-controlled environments such as electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, and cleanrooms.

At Kaisertech, we offer a wide range of anti-static tapes. These tapes meet industry standards to stop static build-up and protect your components.

Filter By

ESD tape is used to protect sensitive electronic equipment from electrostatic discharge (ESD).  Static electricity is one of the most serious threats to sensitive components such as circuit boards, microchips, and semiconductors.  Using the right ESD tape helps to maintain the long-term dependability of your equipment by minimizing contamination and reducing the possibility of static damage.

What to Look for in an ESD Tape

Range Of ESD TapeRange Of ESD Tape

Material – Different tapes are made from different material, each offering unique benefits.
Size – Available in multiple widths and lengths depending on your application.
Colour – Useful for identification, marking, and visibility in work areas.
Properties – Heat resistance, anti-static performance, and adhesive strength.

Common Types of ESD Tape

1. Anti-static tape

Anti-static tape is suitable for a variety of applications and is usually used in place of non-ESD tape. It works especially well for sealing conductive plastic bags, which are frequently used to protect sensitive electronics.

2. ESD High Temperature Tape.

This tape is designed to be highly heat resistant and stable across a broad temperature range.   Its high insulating properties make it ideal for masking printed circuit boards (PCBs) during wave soldering or solder dip processes.

3. Conductive Grid Tape

A popular choice for Electrostatic Protected Areas (EPA) containing static-sensitive electronics. Its conductive grid pattern, paired with anti-static inner and outer surfaces, provides excellent protection without chipping or flaking.

4. Non-ESD High Temperature Tape

Similar to the ESD version, but without anti-static functions.  While it does not offer static protection, it does provide excellent heat insulation, making it ideal for high-temperature masking application

5. ESD blue tape

This tape has the same anti-static properties, but it has a distinctive clear blue colour for easy identification. Frequently used to seal ESD bags, boxes, and packing materials.

6. Aisle/Floor Marking Tape

Marks the boundaries of ESD Protected Areas. While effective for defining EPAs, it should not be used in protected areas due to its lack of direct ESD control properties.

7. ESD Packaging Tape

It is suitable for securely wrapping objects that include ESD devices and components. Although this tape does not have anti-static properties, it is appropriate for sealing boxes and cartons in ESD environments.

Choosing the Right ESD Tape

ESD tapes are available in a variety of thicknesses and lengths. Try to always verify the specifications to confirm that the tape is appropriate for your purpose, whether it is for PCB masking, packing, sealing, or EPA boundary marking.

By choosing the right type of ESD tape, you can efficiently safeguard sensitive devices, eliminate static dangers, and provide a safer working environment.
