Customer Questions
How Does The OPTA Work?

The OPTA is a stereo microscope that does not have an eyepiece. Twin optical paths will pass through patented optics, and then exit through a single viewing lens as stereo optical paths. This is exactly how they would with a conventional stereo microscope. This gives the operator an image with both high contrast and high resolution.

What Objective Lenses Do I Require?

This will largely depend on the application and your user preference. When viewing or inspecting an object, it is advantageous to have a larger field of view and a large depth focus. Depending on the size of your subject, the requirements may indicate a lower magnification lens to be more optimal for inspection work.

What's The Difference Between The OPTA And A Bench Magnifier?

Both are used for close-up viewing, but the magnification levels differ. Similarly you cannot achieve the same level of comfort and versatility from a bench magnifier. From the OPTA you get:

  • Improved flexibility in operation

  • wider field of view along with a 3D image

  • Better ergonomics thanks to the ergonomic design of the eyepiece-less viewing head. This places less stress on the eyes and neck.

Whilst the bench magnifier can be beneficial for basic tasks, the OPTA will provide long-term comfort for more demanding applications that require precision.
