The lifespan of microchips can be shortened significantly when exposed to static. They can be damaged and become completely unusable. Corstat® Chip Boxes have been designed specifically to protect microchips from this occuring.
Contents within these boxes are protected by the "Faraday cage" effect that is created. This effect channels any static around the outside of the box.
These Chip Boxes are manufactured from Corstat® conductive fibreboard and provide a cost-efficient method of shipping micro-chips and small electronic devices.
Available in 6 stock sizes which cover most of standard components/ chips.
Chip boxes can also be supplied with soft Pink anti-static foam or a high density pin stick grade conductive foam to suit your specific requirement and provide further protection from ESD.
