Our range of ESD/Anti-Static Matting is suitable for any ESD sensitive environment. This static-dissipative cushion matting is designed for the use on workbenches in EPA/ESD sensitive areas.

The 2 layer dissipative top and bottom rubber mat is hard wearing, heat resistant and has good lay flat properties. The dissipative top layer is resistant to abrasion, heat, solders flux and most commonly used solvents. The black conductive bottom layer provides a superior and consistent ground path.

Why Are ESD Mats Required?

Operatives working with static sensitive components need consistent protection throughout the working day, as electrostatic discharges (ESDs) can generate stray sparks that can cause irreversible damage to components such as printed circuit boards. 

When selecting electrical safety matting it is imperative to note the maximum operating voltage relating to each product to ensure it provides adequate protection. 

Must Haves With ESD Mats

ESD mats help to protect static sensitive components from electrostatic discharge and are engineered to drain this static from items placed on the surface. 

It is important that each bench, or work surface, is covered with the proper ESD material and is properly connected to Earth using a system of cords and Earth Bonding Points (EBPs).
