Compact stations pack together everything required for a soldering application. A minimalist and neat design brings organisation to your workspace.

This includes:

  • Control Unit – A variety of control units that all come built-in with JBC’s intelligent heat management technology for increased productivity and efficiency.
  • Soldering Tool – Each compact station comes equipped with a specialised handpiece, compatible with a wide variety of soldering tips. The range includes general purpose, precision, solder feed, desoldering, and tweezer options.
  • Soldering Stand – A place to safely house your tool, comprising of a cable collector and built-in technology to detect when the tool has been housed, kicking in the clever heat management system.
  • Tip Cleaning – A complete tip cleaning system is included, leaving room for brass wool (or brush if you choose), a sponge, and a tip wiper. This ensures your tips are always clean and ready.
  • Cartridge Exchanger & Holder – Each station has a cartridge exchange system, specially designed for each of the tools. Using this enables the user to effortlessly change the soldering tip without needing to turn off the station. There are also slots to store multiple cartridges that you may need to switch to.

The compact range also provides an all-in-one solution across a variety of requirements, from soldering, rework, high precision work and much more. But we will get into that further below.

It also enables connectivity to fume extractors, connect to a PC for remote management, traceability and more.

JBC Heat Management

JBC are well-renowned for having the most efficient soldering system on the market. Each of the Compact stations benefit directly from this.

The main goal of this technology is to provide better efficiency, productivity and longevity for your equipment. This is achieved through:

Quick Temperature Recovery

The heating element and cartridge ranges have been optimised to provide maximum thermal transfer. Couple this with the rapid temperature recovery, minimising the dead time between joints on excessive work, and you have a soldering station that is always ready!

Efficient Heat Tracking

Compact stations accurately record the tip temperature, meaning you can increase the reliability of your manufacturing.

Intelligent Heat Management System

Each station comes programmed with JBC’s revolutionary heat management technology. Both the sleep and hibernation modes provide a reduction in energy use and oxidation, leading to soldering tips lasting far longer.

Sleep Mode – Lowers tip temperature to below solder melting point when tool rests in the stand.

Hibernation Mode – Cuts off power to the tool to room temperature after a period of inactivity.

Simple To Use

This really is the key to why the compact range is so transferable across the electronics industry. It caters to all levels of experience.

Simplicity is key for the compact range. Not only do you have everything you need in one station, but the are no complicated set-ups, with the useful information being displayed at a glance.

Directly through the toggling of a couple of buttons, you can set up temperature levels, configure the maximum and minimum temperature, alter the sleep and hibernation settings and more.

Lightweight & Ergonomic Tools

There are a wide range of handpieces across the compact range, varying from your general-purpose tools, all the way to those that cater for precision work with miniature SMDs.

However, all these tools share a commonality. They are designed to be the most comfortable and ergonomic on the market. Each tool is designed to be small enough to fit effortlessly into the operator's hand, along with being light in weight. This makes each tool comfortable to use for minutes to hours at a time.

Another of the key features is the short tip-to-grip distance. Controlling the tool lower to the work provides for the ultimate control and precision.

What Are The Stations In The Compact Range?

CD Stations

The first entry into the compact range is the CD stations. There are 2 versions, one for precision (CDS), which has the T210 tool, and the other being the general-purpose variant (CDB) with the T245 tool. Whilst the CDB is suited to general electronic applications, the CDS will be perfect for more tightly populated PCBs, or for work under magnification.

CDEB Soldering Assistant Station

This is the smartest unit in the compact range. The CDEB is the first of its kind to measure the delivered energy throughout your soldering process. It helps to improve the soldering skills and improve the efficiency and quality in production. Supplied with the general purpose T245 tool.

CP Tweezer Station

The precision rework variant of the compact range. Thanks to the tweezer handpiece (AM120 adjustable tweezers), this station is ideal for both soldering and rework of SMT chip, dual line or small to medium SOP components.

CA Manual-Feed

Manual feed compact soldering stations help to free up an operator's hand, especially on tasks such as soldering cables, connector to name a few. The AP250 handle supplied allows for easy control, administering the amount of solder you need through a trigger on the handle.

CS Desoldering

The CS is the compact range’s desoldering solution. It is perfect for the desoldering of small through-hole components, along with SMD pad cleaning. The station comes equipped with the DS360 Micro Desoldering tool.

*Available Soon* CDN Nano Soldering

A high-precision soldering station that is specifically designed for micro soldering applications. It works exclusively with the NT115 tool. The CDN is ideal where work is being carried out under magnification.

Summary

The JBC compact range includes a wide variety of stations for specific uses, making it simple to find one that matches your applications. Each of the range comes packed with all the perks that JBC technology provides.
