Considerations For ESD Areas

Our high quality protective ESD lab coats are designed to be worn in any area where precautions are needed to reduce the hazards and problems caused by electrostatic discharge.

When in these areas (EPAs) the user must take precautions, such as ensuring that the wearer does not undo or remove the ESD lab jacket whilst in an EPA.

Make certain that the wearer of the garments are kitted out with the suitable footwear or accessories that provide grounding capabilities. This should include the relevant ESD footwear and wristbands that are connected to a grounding bus.

Keep in mind that people in the EPA must have a resistance less than 10^8 Ohm.
